Transforming People's Lives

Monday’s Weekly MEM0 072522– This Week’s Strategy – Discipline brings success.

Discipline always brings success. You can’t be successful if you do things haphazardly or if you say or plan to do things and you don’t do them.

Anything that you want to be successful in you must plan what you want to do, and do it, whether it is daily or on the days and time you plan to do it. That is discipline.

An easy one is losing weight, so you recognize those extra pounds have been piling up and you start hot and sweaty to exercise.  After two or three weeks, the discipline is no longer there, you start to lag, you miss the time, overslept, had something else to do, it is one excuse after another and then that is the end of that. If you were disciplined enough to stick to the plan you would have seen results.

On the business side you have big plans, following with a certain number of customers daily or contacting a certain number of new customers, or you set out a schedule for the business on things that should be done. A week pass and yep, another week may pass and things going well, you are disciplined enough to follow your plan, but then other things start to take priority and that’s it for the schedule and big plans. Sales start to decrease and you wonder why.

Being discipline requires that you stick to whatever you say you are going to do, and you do it when you say you are going to do it. You stop making excuses. This is the only way you would succeed.

Prices of everything is increasing. Right now some people are upset about the rising cost of gas to fill their cars. If you are one of those, take a look at what you can do here : or msg me.  What excuse do you have for not decreasing your gas bills? Msg me.

Monday Morning MEM0 050922– This Week’s Strategy – Roses without thorns.

Whoever heard of roses without thorns? So it is with life, no one can say that they do not have any challenges or thorns in their lives.

If we want to achieve our goals there is always a struggle, those unexpected circumstances or thorns that just suddenly appear from nowhere and you want to pull out your hair over them.

It happens to all of us you design an outfit for a client, they know about it then all of a sudden they no longer want it, or you followed a client for his business and on the last minute the transaction cannot go through. Even on the job you were banking on a client to come through, you were already smelling the roses, you already included it in your targets as a done deal, and bam, the client no longer wants the product.

These things could throw you off in a real bad way, as the negativity could crawl in. You tell yourself, there has to be a better way. You look at that rose bush, so pretty, nature at its best, but to get to the rose you have to pass through the thorns. That is life, so wake up smell the roses and recognize that all these unexpected circumstances are there to help you reach your goal. You are going to build some stronger muscles of stamina, focus, more energy and drive to try bigger things. When you pick that rose you know you have done it and you could do it again and much better. Never look at unexpected circumstances as stress and no way out, see them as challenges that must be overcome.

Monday Morning MEM0 1701202241– This Week’s Strategy – Do nothing and nothing happens

We are halfway through January and maybe you have already started to lose some steam, because if you do not change anything, nothing will change.

It is not that you do not know what you must do, you know all about your business and what is required to move it forward, you know what you have to do in your job to get that raise or promotion or what you must do in your personal life to improve the relationships, and you are willing to do what it takes to make the changes you want happen. You are stuck at this point. You may talk about what you want to do or may even write it down, but you do nothing and nothing happens.

What most of us don’t do is to implement or take action. How long are you going to think about the things you want to do in your business, job or life?  You need to get up and take action. My mother (may her soul rest in peace) used to say – ‘get off your backside and do something’.

For your business explore options to attract more clients, post more on your social media accounts, or to transform your operations. At work find ways to improve your knowledge of your job or to retool yourself. In your relationships explore ways to improve communications.

Now, I am not saying that these things are all easy to do. Success comes with its own challenges, the economy, the virus, the weather, you name it,  so be prepared to face and overcome those challenges, but do nothing and nothing happens.

I invite you now to get up, implement and take action on all those new ideas and thoughts to improve your business, your career and yourself, and let’s make this the best January you have ever had.

Monday Morning MEM0 13122137– This Week’s Strategy DEFY THE DARKNESS

This week’s strategy is to defy the darkness .

In the world including the business world, because of the health issues, there are so many doom and gloom going around, like everywhere you turn if you look hard enough there is some darkness. In business people keep saying well, things are not going good, my sales are down, I had to lay off people, cut salaries, I had to close my business, I lost my house, my car and the list goes on.

I agree this is one of the most challenging times we have had, but the thing is we are made of light, we have the light to defy the darkness. It is said for one problem there are around 500 solutions, and when you light one candle in a dark room it illuminates that entire room.

Today and everyday let your light shine, be that candle in the darkness of your business, defy the darkness in your business don’t look at the problems see it as challenges to overcome. Explore different options, be the light for your suppliers, your customers and your family. Defy the darkness.

When you got in your business no one said it would be easy and if it was easy you would be deprived of using all the talents, skills and gifts that you were given to have a business and to live life to the fullest.

You are not and cannot be in business by yourself. So go out there and defy the darkness, be the candle, be the light.

Monday Morning MEM0 30082125 – This Week’s Strategy

This week’s strategy:  Let’s get ready to rumble

The economy is open and it is time to rumble, stop complaining and take some action. What do you need to do to make September better than August?  Even prior to COVID business had some issues. The quarantine  and lock down periods gave us all time to reflect, revisit our strategy so we can be ready to start again. Are you ready to rumble?

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” … Mark Twain

Think outside the box,  explore, dream, discover.  There is no way you can continue to do things the same way and expect different results. Some Customers may have different needs now, they may have gained weight, loved one/s may have passed on, some businesses are permanently closed, others may have lost their jobs, what action can you take to help them?

It is not all about the money. You cannot recover what you have lost during the pandemic by increasing your price. It is about the service that you provide, how you treat your customers would go a long way in helping your business to survive.

There would always be challenges with the business and life in general.  The only people  who do not have challenges are the people in the cemetery .

So let’s not complain but look for the opportunities that present themselves each day, explore, dream and discover.  Review these opportunities and use them, take action and  move forward.

Nothing happens without a dream, or exploring your options or taking action – what action can you take today to move your business forward?

This Week’s Strategy:  Key Factors to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

Being an entrepreneur is not without its challenges. But few other career paths are as rewarding. Not only does owning a business provide you with more control of your future, but it also gives you the flexibility and freedom to develop a healthy work-life balance.

So, where do you start if you want to give entrepreneurship a chance? Glad you asked! Below,   JOIPF & Associates   has provided some practical information and advice for starting a business—from brainstorming ideas to using the right software.

Finding a Viable Idea

Your first step will be to come up with a business idea that can bring you success. Taking into account your expertise and interests, brainstorm until you have a list of several different ideas. Then, conduct market research to see if there is a gap that you can fill.

Once you’ve narrowed down your options to one idea, start writing a business plan. In short, this document will include a lot of information concerning your company, including your overall mission, target audience, offerings, marketing strategies, and financial projections.

Forming an Entity

You also need to decide on a business structure early on. A lot of entrepreneurs benefit from forming an LLC because it’s relatively simple to set up and manage compared to some other entities. Plus, you are guaranteed a level of liability protection as well as tax advantages. Before getting too deep into the process of establishing your LLC, make sure you understand the regulations in your state.

Getting Funding

Unless you have plenty of capital for getting your business off the ground, you’ll need to get funding. Having a detailed business plan written out will help you attract angel investors, venture capitalists, and other types of investors. But there are other options to consider as well, from crowdfunding to small business loans to accelerators. Do your research and assess your needs to determine the best path.

Spending Wisely

Too many entrepreneurs manage their startup capital poorly, which often results in delayed growth or loss of business. When creating a business plan, figure out exactly where your money should be invested. Then, develop a realistic budget that will help you achieve your goals, and stick to your budget no matter what.

Despite how you feel, you probably don’t need that world-class office downtown that you’ve been dreaming about. Keep major purchases like that as a goal to reach after you’ve laid a solid foundation for your company.

Hiring the Right People

Most companies must hire people at some point if they are to see the growth they envision. Be strategic with who you recruit. Hiring the wrong team members can end up harming your business more so than not hiring anyone.

You want any candidate you consider to not only be qualified for the position but also believe in the overall goals of your business. Consider working with a staffing agency to get connected with top-notch candidates.

Incorporating Tech

Finally, there is plenty of technology on the market today to help small business owners of all types grow their companies the healthy way. Look into payroll, payment processing, collaboration, project management, and customer relationship management (CRM) software that can make your operations more efficient and ultimately boost your bottom line.

If you want to build a fulfilling career for yourself and you happen to be a self-starter, building a business might be your best bet. You can expect plenty of obstacles along the way, but by incorporating the tips above, you can put yourself in an excellent position to succeed long-term. And of course, always remain open-minded to other ways that you can lay a solid foundation upon which to build your business.

Monday Morning MEM0 02082121- This Week’s Strategy

This week’s strategy – planning is key.

Most people have a to do list that they tick off as they go along.

Today I want to talk to you about planning your time instead of making a to do list. In any case having a to do list you can get frustrated when you are not able to achieve all the tasks recorded on your list.

Now, for some people kids are totally on vacation, and if you are running a business this is now a different scenario because they may no longer have planned study time. So now you have to plan your time around them and the business. A to do list would certainly not work in this case.

Take it week by week, plan your week. What do you want to accomplish each week?  Then, plan what day of the week you would do your various activities and how long do you need to spend on each activity. Add all that you need to do, plan time for the kids, play time, if you have revision session plan a time for this, grocery time, plan all the activities for your business – client and supplier calls or follow ups, plan marketing time for the business etc. Be specific with each activity, names, phone numbers  etc. as this would ensure that you make effective use of your time.

This is also the month where some people are looking at new schools and universities, if this is you, these decisions must be afforded adequate time. Plan a time to research and discuss your options.

If you need a strategy for making decisions effectively shoot us an email – We help you explore your options and break them down to get  the best decision base on the information at hand.  We can also show your older children how to make proper decisions. This is lacking in our world today, and a lot of older children end up making the wrong decisions when they leave school or even in university

With a number of lockdowns and restrictions it can be a hassle to get all the supplies you need for school. Instead of planning a trip to the stores where only one person maybe allowed to enter check out the supplies store here: Shop now.  We can also arrange to shop on your behalf. Email us –
